Peace March on Universal Peace Day

The voice of Guru Mahan on the Formation of National Waterways grows stronger. This is illustrated by the Fourth Peace March at Madurai on Guru Mahan Jayanthi Day also regarded as the “Universal Peace Day”

At around 4.30 PM on 14^th February 2010, over one thousand disciples of Guru Mahan and several social activists gathered in front of the prestigious Raja Muthiah Hall in Madurai to participate in the Peace March. The march was initiated by Guru Mahan and presided by Er. AC Kamaraj, who developed the concept. The March started its course and progressed towards Gandhi Museum.

The Men in white progressed in slow pace in complete silence along the main roads distributing the pamphlets on the benefits of National Waterways to the public. The procession received a great attention and appreciation from the public. The purpose has been served by implanting the thought about the National Waterways in the minds of the public so that the thoughts develop into a movement that can urge the Central Government to plan for the scheme.
