Green the Earth: One Citizen, One Tree in Malaysia

“A nationwide campaign was launched to plant 26 million trees by 2014 to commemorate Earth Day.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister, Datuk Douglas Unggah Embas launched the campaign, themed ‘Green the Earth: One Citizen, One Tree’. The 26 million trees represent the estimated

26 million Malaysian populations. Some 16,200 saplings were planted in launching the campaign.”


 

EARTH  DAY  CELEBRATION

UNIVERSAL  PEACE  FOUNDATION, CHENNAI

Universal  Peace Foundation, Chennai  celebrated the Earth Day function at Suvasini Kalayanamandapam - East Tambaram on 22nd April 2010

 

Ninety one (91) disciples participated in this function. Followed by the Irai Geetham Sarva  Sakthi  Siddhi Yagyam was conducted.  Gurumahan  gave his holy blessings over telephone.

 Through the Power Point Presentation, the entire gathering  were imparted the importance of the Mother Earth, on  the Global Warming and the responsibility of every one to save our Mother Earth.

 Dr.Subhash (Naturopathy) gave an excellent talk on the Pancha Bootha Thathuvas to add the awareness. All the participants took oath to observe the following to Save Our Mother Earth. 

Avoid  usage of  Plastic Bags.

Using the fluorescent bulbs.

Plant and Grow more trees.

Avoid unnecessary usage of Motor Cycle / Car.

Vibrating  the thought  ‘Annai Boomi Needoozhi Vazhha' (‘Long Live Mother Earth’) daily in every meditation session.

Propagate the above points to relatives / friends / colleagues.

Activities by UPF Canada

WorkShop Conducted at Academy of Tami Arts & Technology, Toronto .

April 11, 2010

 

UPF Canada conducted a Work Shop about  SEE Project at Academy of Tamil Arts and Technology  on Sunday, April 11, 2010.  Mrs. Thiyageswary Mahenthiran, Head of the Academy, nicely organized this work Shop for UPF Canada at her School

M.A. Suresh,  Mei. Karthika Lingam and Mei. Paramalingam conducted the Work Shop and explained about the individual responsibilities and the importance of Saving our Mother Earth and handouts were issued at the end of the session.

  

Interaction Program  by Geethavaani:

April, 16 2010

Mr. Rajkumar organized an Interaction Program with Geethavaani listeners and discussed about Global Warming and  the SEE Project.  Since it was a live program, many people shared their ideas about how they are taking care of the nature in their daily life.

Gurumahan’s Special Live Radio Program About Earth Day:  April 20, 2010

With the support of UPF ( India ), UPF Canada organized for Gurumahan’s Special Live Satsang  about Earth Day Through Geethavaani on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. There was a special meditation session conducted by Gurumahan at the end of the Satsang. We have received many calls from Geethavaani listeners about the Program. Gurumahan’s disciples from many countries benefited from Gurumahan’s Earthday Message and Meditation.

THREE Minutes Meditation at 11:00am on Earth Day April 22, 2010

Special Three minutes meditation conducted at UPF Canada at 11:00am on Earth Day and also a  3 minutes Earth Day Meditation observed through Geethavaani as Live broad cast.

 We have forwarded the SEE Project to Various Government Organizations in Canada and waiting for their response to proceed further. Thank you so much for this wonderful Project and we are very glad to take part in this project.
